What we’ve explored so far (How to have impact)
How you show up is the biggest factor
Listening facilitates the quality of people's thinking
The mechanics always explain what's going on for someone and you can 'diagnose' at that level
You can feel whether someone is speaking from their 'genius' / insight or from their habitual thinking
You can have a go at creating the conditions for insight
Group Connect Lab #5
Thursday 26th February 2026
Making interventions in service of waking up genius:
Help them see the reality they have/assumptions they have made that might be invisible to them.
Get curious with them and playing back what you're hearing.
Disrupt their thinking, encourage new thinking or perspectives, invoke genius (e.g. 'don't care’, or I wonder, or tell me more or here's another perspective).
Highlight their insights.
Group Connect Lab #6
Thursday 12th March 2026
3 Languages
-
The language of Thought
Shows up as logical explanations and diagrams.
Examples: in-service triangle, thought-feeling connection, spiral, description of Ego.
-
The language of Consciousness
Shows up as illustrations, metaphors and analogies, personal stories and examples.
Examples: feelings are like a dashboard, sushi train, iPhone, train of thought, tuning fork.
-
The language of Mind
Shows up as experiments, reflective questions, people looking into their own experience.
Examples: Wondering, Peace experiment, asking people when they have insights, getting people to share personal examples/reflect, Jelly Bean.
Best Practice for working with groups
Create the conditions as best you can for people to be present → get people to take a moment on arrival, not rushing in, ask if everyone is ready/present
Helping people get insights and engage → camera on, being explicit that they are expected to participate, telling them to turn off distractions
Diagnostic: understand a little of what's going on for people and which version of them is in the room → check in
Help people realise what they've realised → check in
Facilitate insights by people exploring for themselves and hearing from each other → breakouts
Giving people time to reflect and see their own thinking → taking time / pausing / making space
Diagnostic, getting a snapshot of what's landing for people → asking them throughout the session
Keeping the noise down → being explicit with instructions and rationales and asking people to play back what they've understood
Working with partners - make a deal with one another, check in with each other, permission to time keep/interrupt/move things on
Be explicit - make any questions or instructions for the group obvious and check they’ve actually understood (picture/playback)
Give yourself the best chance of insight and impact – check in with yourself and if necessary, take a moment yourself
Closing Workshop
Monday 31st March 2026
Illustration of impacting people at the level of their premise/belief in order to help them have a shift in thinking.
The different levels of how you will have impact on the business.
